The Power of Prayers - NOVENAS
St. John Damascene wrote that prayer “is the raising of one's mind and heart to God or the requesting of good things from God."
It is a nine days’ private or public devotion to obtain special graces.
Novenas are a treasured and deeply valued form of devotional prayer in the Catholic Church. They are a means of turning one’s heart and mind to God. Their roots are in the prayers between the Ascension and Pentecost. Acts 1:14
